Private Music Lessons
Weekly instruction is tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style. Lessons are offered in 30-minute blocks. 45-minute advanced lessons are available with instructor/director permission and additional cost.
To provide consistency and an atmosphere conducive to learning, all Academy lessons are taught at FBC Keller with no exceptions.
During the enrollment process, each student will be assigned an instructor and a lesson time. The student or parent will then be contacted to confirm the lesson or class time. Once a lesson time is established, it is important that the student continue through the semester with that time.
Students may be dropped off for lessons at the North or South entrance. During lessons, parents may wait in the foyer, in the hallway, or in the studio.
Piano
Build strong foundations in technique, theory, and musical expression—beginner through advanced.
Voice
Healthy vocal technique, confidence, and musicianship. Age guideline: 7th grade–adult.
Guitar
Acoustic or electric fundamentals, rhythm, chords, and reading/lead skills. Age guideline: 3rd grade–adult.
Violin
Posture, tone, intonation, and repertoire with a focus on steady, encouraging progress.
Drum Set
Coordination, timekeeping, and styles. Age guideline: 4th grade–adult.
Group Art (All Ages)
Explore a variety of artistic media while learning the elements of art and principles of design.
Hands-on, encouraging instruction in a safe environment where students can grow in creativity and confidence.
Complete at least three major art projects per semester. Masterpieces are taken home at the end of the semester.
