Drop Policy/Discontinuation of Lessons

A written notice of discontinuation of lessons must be submitted via email by the 15th of the month to stop billing for the following month.

Makeup Policy

We consider your private lesson time to be a standing appointment. If the teacher has to miss a lesson, it will be made up.
If the student has to miss a lesson, prior notice is required. Twenty-four-hour notice is preferable. However, if a student wakes up ill on a lesson morning, please call the instructor before 12:00 p.m. Under these circumstances and with proper prior notice, the teacher will make up one lesson per student per semester.
*IMPORTANT: Please contact your instructor directly as messages cannot always be relayed through the church office.

Instrument Policy

A student should be able to practice on an instrument that facilitates progress. Guitars and violins should be fitted to the individual and may need upgrading as the child grows. Piano students may begin on a keyboard for one semester only. After that time, having an acoustic piano is imperative, or the student’s technique will suffer, and precious instructional time will be lost. Likewise, drum set students may begin on a snare drum for one semester only. The Director and teachers will be happy to recommend dealers for new, used, or rental instruments.
