Makeup Policy
Standing appointment; teacher-missed lessons made up; if student misses, prior notice required; 24-hour notice preferable; if ill, call instructor before 12:00 p.m.; with proper prior notice teacher will make up ONE lesson per student per semester; contact instructor directly as messages cannot always be relayed through the church office
Drop Policy
written notice one month before stopping; two months tuition must be paid—the month of notice and the following month; dropping after March 15 requires paying remaining tuition
Instrument Policy
practice instrument must facilitate progress; guitars/violins fitted and may need upgrading; piano may begin on keyboard for one semester only then acoustic piano imperative; drum set may begin on snare drum for one semester only; Director/teachers can recommend dealers
Accompanist Policy
for recitals, accompanist fee for vocal/violin/flute: $40 paid directly to accompanist includes 2 rehearsals + performance; if only 1 rehearsal then $30; number of rehearsals at teacher discretion; for festivals, accompanist fee for vocal/violin/flute paid by Academy includes 1 rehearsal + festival performance
